Since first meeting over a decade ago, Natasha & I have been working together towards our goal of opening our own restaurant. During this time we have been working hard, both committed to gaining a ‘culinary education’ in the kitchen and the restaurant. We have strived to expand our knowledge and understanding through research, development, application and experience, through travel and interaction with other culinary experts.
After a classical training, I acquired the first part of my culinary education at Hambleton Hall, while Natasha finished a BSc in Physics with Astrophysics.
As a newly married couple we moved to Scotland where at the age of 26 years, I took the helm as Head Chef at Glenapp Castle. Within three months we earnt 3 AA Rosettes and a 6 in the Good Food Guide. Over the following four years my food was recognised and we enjoyed a collection of awards including ‘Scotland’s Best Restaurant’ 2011, a Michelin Star and 4 AA Rosettes.
This spring saw the culmination of all that hard work when we opened the doors to our own restaurant adam’s in Birmingham City Centre. Less than six months later we were awarded a much coveted Michelin Star and became only the fourth restaurant to hold such an accolade in Birmingham.
adam’s is a contemporary fine dining restaurant producing stylish food; a sophisticated blend of familiar flavour combinations with modern inventive twists. My aim is not to baffle, but to excite and enthuse guests with the accurate cooking of quality ingredients served in an approachable environment. We hope to create a unique experience for each diner within our friendly and professional restaurant.
